Care should be taken on painted plaster as Blu Tack's adhesive qualities may cause paint to come away from wall. Surfaces must clean and dry and free from grease or loose material. Occurs on surfaces that are exposed to hot conditions. Blu Tack will soften over 70°C. Having said this, we generally see this happen with laminated posters to walls because the surface is non-porous and flexible so in extreme heat posters can slip down the wall. A For laminated posters, its important that sufficient Blu Tack is applied. Blu Tack works because its pressure sensitive, therefore the more surface area with pressure applied the better. Suggest you cut off some pieces 3-5cm long (depending on the size of the poster), remove release paper from one side and apply to back of poster, then remove the rest of the release paper then use good thumb pressure to apply to the other surface.
